And so you begin to realise how little I'm going to end up writing these things...

Yes. I'm not the best at updating things. But to be honest, not much worth mentioning has really happened. Film Society is starting tomorrow though! I'm quite looking forward to it, actually. Though we don't really know what we're doing for it yet. Probably should work it out...

I got in on the photography course as well, which is pretty good. I have no idea when it's starting though. And with my FinePix Camera as my only tool, I'm not quite sure if these photos I take will be recognisable as photos or just look like blurs, but I guess I'll find out soon.

I'm fairly annoyed though. I just found out that the venue for my advert I'm filming is not available anymore, and I don't appear to have any more offers. Hm. We have a band now though, but with no house there's no advert! I'm hoping that someone will offer to lend their house out, otherwise th
ere's no advert...

On a brighter note though, I went to visit the artist James Dodds at Wivenhoe today with my art class. He's a printer, and I was actually pretty impressed with his artwork. He gave us each two free books as well, which is good. I'm so jealous of his art studio though! I really want one! Well, I guess a corner in my room will have to do for now...

Anyway, I've got a lot of art coursework to do, and quite frankly, Blogger is not helping me get it done. I'll update soon.

Pre-Stress.

Well, today has been...interesting.

I've decided to enrol myself on yet another school related activity (god forbid), so now I'm doing a YASS course on digital photography, which is going to be great, but along with all the other stuff...Maybe just a bit too much? I'm sure I can handle it though. It's not for long and it's something I enjoy, so I'm sure it will be fine.

I will also be 'set directing' one of my friend's screenplays next week, which I've never done before, so that will be interesting. Talking of screenplays, the speech placement has been decided for mine! We are also in the process of working out which order to film what parts, so hopefully filming shall start soon. I'm actually really looking forward to it. Though of course, it comes with many complications, the main one being the amount of people and getting them all to look drunk without actually being drunk. By Monday I should have collected quite a lot of alcohol bottles from various friends and contacts, so hopefully I will have enough for everyone.

My weekend is going to be quite a busy one, to be honest. Firstly I'm going to be collecting empty bottles from a party on Sunday morning, which I'm then going to have to take back to my house (cue mother becoming increasingly suspicious). I've got work the day before that, then I'm visiting relatives straight afterwards. Saturday night is the gathering night, through until Sunday. And tonight I'm going to see a local band at the pub next door. Considering I nearly fell asleep several times during English Literature, I doubt I'm going to survive this weekend.

Sunday is basically my only day for school work, but by the time that rolls around I'm going to be so lethargic that picking up a pen will probably not even be an option.

Anyway, I have no more updates to speak of, but I do have a link to a site related from me, where feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'll update soon.

Blog.

So. I decided to write a blog. At last.

Being a creative person, I guess I should've done this a while back, really. Why didn't I? Who knows. Maybe I was lazy. Maybe I didn't have anything to write about...

Anyway, I do have topics to write about now, which is why I am here now.

I've just started college, and it's quite a busy time, to be honest. I have a lot of things planned that will either not happen or I will give up, but the motivation has lasted a whole week without being tampered with so far, so maybe I might just be able to pull it all off...

Basically, I'm rather interested in advertising, film making, journalism - anything media-related really. My friend and I decided to enter a film festival where we have to make a short film displaying the consequences of underage drinking, so we're busy doing that at the moment. Script has been started and set has been established, though cast...Well, we're going to need a lot of people (and I mean A LOT), and so it's going to be very hard to actually film. Though we shall prevail. The deadline is 31st October, so I'm hoping all goes to plan.

I am also trying to shoot a short film for the Hula Hoops Film Awards, with another one of my friends. This involves 'hula puppets' (hula hoops placed on fingers as characters) and most probably cardboard scenery, which I shall have to make sometime. We've written a script, but apart from that, nothing has really been accomplished. Basically, the film is a parody of a very popular well-known book/film, but I won't say what just yet. Surprise is always a good thing.

For this one we have until November to do it, and if you want to see some of the videos we're competing against, click here >> http://www.hulahoops.com/

Aside from that, I also have an advert to film for a school project, a film-making society for school to set up with my friend, various literary clubs to attend, and of course A Level related work, among other things. So basically, I'm not going to have much free time. Well, think of the CV!

I'll keep you updated as it happens.
